About these worksheets

JLPT N4 (elementary) builds on N5 with about 170 more everyday-life kanji such as 会 (meet), 電 (electricity), 話 (talk), 時 (time) and 買 (buy). Pick just the characters you are studying and print a focused stroke-order page instead of a whole textbook chapter.

How to use them

1. Pick the kanji you want in the set above — or click Select all.
2. Click “Print / Save as PDF” to generate your sheet.
3. Print the sheet and practice yourself, or hand copies to your students in class.

Each row builds the character up one stroke at a time one after another, then gives a grey stencil to trace and blank squares to write it from memory.
