Giving advice with 〜ほうがいいです, and expressing likelihood with でしょう / かもしれません.

Advice

You'd better eat more vegetables.

Affirmative advice uses the た-form (食べたほうがいい); negative advice uses the ない-form (行かないほうがいい). It suggests one option is clearly better.

Probability

It might rain tomorrow.

Both attach to the plain form, and after a noun or な-adjective both drop だ: 元気でしょう, 元気かもしれません (not 元気だでしょう). でしょう shows higher confidence than かもしれません.
